The child care assistance amount is based:

• on household size,
• household income,
• the number of hours your child is in care,
• the number of hours you and any other adults caregivers work, attend education or training
  program, and
• the maximum rates the state will pay

Payments are then made on a sliding fee scale. You may be required to make a co-payment.
